Museum of Ice Cream

From 2022 to 2024 we ran full-funnel paid media for the national experiential brand, scaling ticket sales across markets and building the search foundation. The goal was a 5:1 return on ad spend. We averaged about fifteen to one, with a peak campaign at sixty.

The challenge

A national ticketed experience has to fill rooms in multiple cities, profitably, and keep broadening its audience. The brief was to widen the marketing funnel, reach new demographics, and grow ticket sales across both new and established markets, without losing efficiency.

The approach

We ran multi-year paid acquisition across Meta, Google, and TikTok, with display and connected TV, on deliberately tight budgets, and built the brand's search foundation, auditing every location. The work spanned the brand's highest-profile markets, Chicago, New York, and Austin, while our pre-opening research helped shape the Boston and Miami launches before they opened. We even ran diligence on new experiential concepts, including a pickleball venture. Video and consultation rounded it out.

Why it worked

Selling ice cream in summer isn't rocket science, but doing it profitably, on strict budgets, across a dozen markets, is. The creative carried it: bright, joyful, unmistakably pink, built to wake the kid in everyone. That same energy still runs the brand's ads today. The returns got high enough that Google's own reps asked how we were getting them, with dedicated enterprise reps supporting every location.
